CT-90: Finally Running Smooth

Finally got the new valves from Thailand today! Took me about an hour to take the engine apart again and replace the valves. New valves was the solutions to all my horsepower problems. Once everything was back together the bike fired right up and has great pick up. It is finally ready just in time for the warm weather.

CT-90 Update…. New Helmet

I have been riding my CT90 last couple weeks in the cold and it has been really cold. I found this closed faced helmet at Mega Thrift for $10 last weekend. I sprayed it down with chemicals to kill anything living and then I painted the stripes just to spruce it up. My face thanked me.

CT-90 Update…… Getting the Idle Fixed

So I changed the points hoping that would fix my idling problem, while it helped the engine run smoother it did not keep the engine from dying when hot. Google told me that the problem might be that I don’t have an air restrictor, I have an aftermarket air filter and not the $100 CT-90 air box system. So the idle might be running too lean, well I am not spending that kind of money for a richer gas/air mixture. So I figured out (more…)
