What the Crap Harpoon!!!

April 14th, 2009

Me and my friend Derrick were drinking a six pack of Harpoon IPA and when we got to the 3rd beer I noticed it was less than half full. I took the six pack back to Harris Teeter who replaced it on the spot. I also emailed Harpoon Brewery about it and I am waiting for a response from them, I am hoping for a free t-shirt or something! I love Harpoon’s beer but I was a little disappointed in the lack of quality control.

After 5: Pale Ale Taste Test

March 25th, 2009

Tasted the pale ale tonight, it has been in the bottle 13 days now. I was good but still needs to age longer. It is 7.4% alcohol and normally the higher the alcohol the longer the beer should age. It tastes a little sweet right now but I think as it matures the hops will become more prominent.

The color looks good and it holds a great head, we will see about the taste.

Shane you will have to give me an unbiased opinion on Friday.

Finally got the new valves from Thailand today! Took me about an hour to take the engine apart again and replace the valves. New valves was the solutions to all my horsepower problems. Once everything was back together the bike fired right up and has great pick up. It is finally ready just in time for the warm weather.
